PEROT SYSTEMS CORPORATION is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. It is currently looking for a ORACLE DBA Sr. Specialist to join our team in Woonsocket, RI.
Job Responsibilities:
This person will operate as an Senior Oracle Database Administrator working with several Senior and Junior DBAs. Carrying the rotating primary page is required in support of over 50, 7 X 24 production databases. Weekday activity will include working on large projects providing expert advice on design and operational issues.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years hands-on Oracle database support and troubleshooting
- Oracle RMAN backup, recovery and failover knowledge
- Database and SQL query tuning required
- Proven ability to script in UNIX
- Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Clusterware
- Very detail oriented with strong communication skills
- A strong understanding of the Oracle concepts and fundamentals a must
Desired Skills:
- SQL Server database
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
- Oracle certification in releases 9i or 10g a plus
